Markaz, although a very different individual, is just as impressive in his own way. A beautifully-balanced grey son of Dark Angel, he is a full brother to the two-time Group 1 winning sprinter, Mecca’s Angel. A dual Group winning sprinter himself, he was also placed second in both the Group 2 Park Stakes (to Limato) and Group 2 Goldene Peitsche and was rarely out of the first four in nineteen starts. He too was oversubscribed in his first season at stud.
